78 Days of BombingIn 1999, Bill Clinton bombed Yugoslavia for 78 days without UN authorization, without a Congressional vote, and without a single US combat death. NATO flew 38,000 sorties and dropped 23,000 bombs. They killed 500+ Yugoslav civilians, “accidentally” hit the Chinese embassy, and bombed a refugee column of the very people they were trying to save. Cost: ~$5 billion. Russia later cited Kosovo when it annexed Crimea. Every precedent has consequences.
