Well, so have your neighbors. And while you may not think much of these ads, polls show they’re having a real impact on voters across the country.
The good news is that if enough of us get out and talk to our neighbors directly, we can still beat back the lies. Check out these reports from MoveOn members who have already volunteered in two close races:
From Christi in Kansas City, Missouri: “So many people were so turned off by negative ads that they didn’t know anything about the candidate. I was able to talk to them about why *I* am voting for Robin Carnahan—the reasons are many—and they were able to hear about her.”
From Rose in Springfield, Pennsylvania: “I got to speak to some voters who were not sure, confused by all the attack ads. I got to explain to them where the money and motivation was coming from and they were ready to vote for Joe Sestak!”
Christi and Rose are just two of the thousands of MoveOn members who’ve already signed up to volunteer. But with less than three weeks left until Election Day, Elaine Marshall still needs more volunteers to help reach out to voters in Durham. Will you sign up?
Yes, I’ll sign up to volunteer
Thanks for all you do.–Adam, Amy, Stephen, Michael, and the rest of the team
