UNCOMMON KNOWLEDGE INTERVIEW BY PETER ROBINSON OF CHARLES MOORE, LONG-TIME BRITISH JOURNALIST

This week’s video features Charles Moore, former editor of the UK Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph newspapers and of the Spectator magazine. He is also the authorized biographer of the Right Honorable Baroness Thatcher of Kesteven, better known as Margaret Thatcher.

Moore discusses how, during his years as an up-and-coming journalist, he saw Britain’s economy weaken and its status in the world decline — until the election of Margaret Thatcher as prime minister. He explains, through examining key moments of her administration, how Thatcher was able to deal with labor unions and special interests, stand up to the Soviets in the Cold War, and restore the reputation of the British throughout the world.
