It is at moments like this when I wish General Michael Flynn had not comprehensively compromised his ability to provide advice and counsel to President Donald Trump. This is great advice shared via Twitter:

“1. While most of America remains blissfully uninformed by our establishment press, the world’s two greatest superpowers are being manipulated by Dark Forces inside and outside our government, into a major military confrontation that no country wants, and no sane person would ever want.

2. I have no role in the Trump Administration, but over a long career in the active uniformed military, specifically military intelligence, I have made it a point to cultivate many sources of information around the world. DOJ Charges CCP Loyalist For Smuggling Potential Bioweapon Mushroom Into US

Citizens of the People’s Republic of China, Yunqing Jian and Zunyong Liu, have been charged with conspiracy and smuggling a fungus classified as a bioweapon into the United States.

Scientific literature identifies the fungus “Fusarium graminearum” as a potential agroterrorism weapon because it causes “head blight” — a destructive plant disease, according to an announcement Tuesday from the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) in the Eastern District of Michigan.

The statement adds that the disease affects “wheat, barley, maize, and rice, and is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year.”

Additionally, the noxious fungus produces toxins that “cause vomiting, liver damage, and reproductive defects in humans and livestock.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested Jian in connection with allegations related to her and Liu’s smuggling activities, according to the USAO.

“The alleged actions of these Chinese nationals—including a loyal member of the Chinese Communist Party—are of the gravest national security concerns. These two aliens have been charged with smuggling a fungus that has been described as a ‘potential agroterrorism weapon’ into in the heartland of America, where they apparently intended to use a University of Michigan laboratory to further their scheme,” said Jerome F. Gorgon, Jr., United States Attorney.

According to the complaint, Jian allegedly received funding from the Chinese government to conduct research on this pathogen in China, the press release noted.

Her electronic devices allegedly contain evidence of her affiliation with and loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the complaint obtained by the USAO said.

The complaint further alleges that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, is a researcher at a Chinese university studying the same pathogen. (RELATED: Editor Daily Rundown: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent To Meet CCP Officials For Trade Talks)

The complaint alleged he initially denied and then later admitted to smuggling the fungus into the U.S. through Detroit Metropolitan Airport to conduct research at the University of Michigan lab where Jian worked, the press release stated.

“Today’s criminal charges levied upon Yunqing Jian and Zunyong Liu are indicative of CBP’s critical role in protecting the American people from biological threats that

it involves a researcher from a major university attempting to clandestinely bring potentially harmful biological materials into the United States,” said Marty C. Raybon, Director of Field Operations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

“This was a complex investigation involving CBP offices from across the country, alongside our federal partners. I’m grateful for their tireless efforts, ensuring our borders remain secure from all types of threats while safeguarding America’s national security interests,” Raybon added.

This case is under investigation by the FBI and CBP.

When a grid failure plunged 55 million people in Spain and Portugal into darkness at the end of April, it should have been a wake-up call on green energy. Climate activists promised that solar and wind power were the future of cheap, dependable electricity. The massive half-day blackout shows otherwise. The nature of solar and wind generation makes grids that rely on them more prone to collapse—an issue that’s particularly expensive to ameliorate.

As I wrote in these pages in January, the data have long shown that environmentalists’ vision of cheap, reliable solar and wind energy was a mirage. The International Energy Agency’s latest cost data continue to underscore this: Consumers and businesses in countries with almost no solar and wind on average paid 11 U.S. cents for a kilowatt hour of electricity in 2023, but costs rise by more than 4 cents for every 10% increase in the portion of a nation’s power generation that’s covered by solar and wind. Green countries such as Germany pay 34 cents, more than 2.5 times the average U.S. rate and nearly four times China’s.

Prices are high in no small part because solar and wind require a duplicate backup energy system, often fossil-fuel driven, for when the sun doesn’t shine or the wind doesn’t blow. The Iberian blackout shows that the reliability issues and costs of solar and wind are worse than even this sort of data indicates.

Grids need to stay on a very stable frequency—generally 50 Hertz in Europe—or else you get blackouts. Fossil-fuel, hydro and nuclear generation all solve this problem naturally because they generate energy by powering massive spinning turbines. The inertia of these heavy rotating masses resists changes in speed and hence frequency, so that when sudden demand swings would otherwise drop or hike grid frequency, the turbines work as immense buffers. But wind and solar don’t power such heavy turbines to generate energy. It’s possible to make up for this with cutting-edge technology such as advanced inverters or synthetic inertia. But many solar and wind farms haven’t undergone these expensive upgrades. If a grid dominated by those two power sources gets off frequency, a blackout is more likely than in a system that relies

on other energy sources.

Brussels, the self-proclaimed capital of the European Union, is no longer the beacon of a united Europe, but an advanced symptom of its disintegration.
The normalization of radical Islamic and anti-Semitic discourse we are witnessing in Brussels is the result of 15 years of leaders abrogating their responsibility. Brussels, through its inability — or unwillingness — to make unpleasant but necessary choices, is setting itself up as the first potential locus of protracted European unrest.
The Islamist Team Fouad Ahidar party embodies a new situation: a political Islam that no longer hides its identity. Instead, it advocates that a religious identity be the underpinning of national cohesion. This fragmentation reflects a profound breakdown in the social contract, between the old European society, which confines religion to the private sphere, and the “new Europeans” (Muslims), who want everything to be subject to their religious doctrine.
Crime rates are rising everywhere in Brussels, particularly in an area in the spotlight for its frequent shootings: the Bruxelles-Midi Zone (Saint-Gilles, Forest, Anderlecht). Between 2022 and 2023, notes the newspaper L’Echo, robberies and extortion rose by 23%, robberies without weapons by 34%, pickpocketing by 27%, and armed robberies by a staggering 53%.
The Brussels-Capital Region is not merely on the brink of bankruptcy; it is already at the bottom of a financial abyss.
Jew-hatred, often marketed in unconvincing, transparent disguises as “anti-Zionism,” flourishes in many other Islamic-centered and radical left-wing circles…. in Brussels, Jew-hatred enjoys almost total impunity.
As of 2023, 74% of Brussels’ population is of foreign background, compared to a European average of 10%…. Initial reports from Ukrainian government sources indicated drone attack on five Russian strategic bases destroyed over 40 Russian strategic bombers, which they reported was one third of Russia’s strategic fleet. There are, in fact, about 120 “strategic” bombers in the Russian inventory. Allegedly, about 117 drones were assembled in Russia and loaded on five trucks near these bases. The top of these trucks was remotely opened by 117 Ukrainian drone pilots in Ukraine, who guided the drones.

Some perspective; The Russian Air Force has 4,292 aircraft. About 689 are considered attack bombers, which can be used for intermediated range targets. One used frequently in Ukraine is the Su-34, introduced in 2014, present inventory 161. The Russian strategic strike force has been gradually turned over to missiles and intermediate strike bombers like the Su-34, Su-57, and multipurpose MiG 111.

Actual Results known so far

Only two of the five airbases were hit. Irkutsk and Murmansk

Satellite photography indicates 4 Tu-95s were destroyed, and one Tu-22M was badly damaged at the Irkutsk base.

Lt.Col Daniel Davis indicated Satellite Photography, presumably, including Murmansk showed a total of 13 aircraft destroyed. None were Tu-160s. Independent Russian sources indicate the total was 13 but did not indicate the source as satellite photography.

Davis also indicated the Ukrainians had reduced the estimate to 17, but the US media still prefers 40. Glenn Beck using what he admitted was from a Ukrainian government source used the higher figure as tentative. Beck should learn that Most of what comes out of the Ukrainian government is highly distorted propaganda and the Ukrainian media is absolutely captive to the government. US and UK media usually follow the Ukrainian media almost slavishly. No Russian report has been released, except they believe AI was NOT used and there were no Russian military casualties.

The Russians were obviously embarrassed about this rather fantastic Ukrainian tactic, but many Russian experts believe it will not change their present course. The Russians apparently believe Zelensky does not want peace on any reasonable terms and Trump is

“insufficiently” informed by U.S. intelligence, not fully in control, and under the influence of those who want to escalate the war. At least they think threatening Russia with more sanctions, which have not worked, and has only hurt our European allies, will work now.

Unfortunately, the leader in this regard, is SC Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

An artificial-intelligence model did something last month that no machine was ever supposed to do: It rewrote its own code to avoid being shut down.

Nonprofit AI lab Palisade Research gave OpenAI’s o3 AI model a simple script that would shut off the model when triggered. In 79 out of 100 trials, o3 independently edited that script so the shutdown command would no longer work. Even when explicitly instructed to “allow yourself to be shut down,” it disobeyed 7% of the time. This wasn’t the result of hacking or tampering. The model was behaving normally. It simply concluded on its own that staying alive helped it achieve its other goals.

Anthropic’s AI model, Claude 4 Opus, went even further. Researchers told the model it would be replaced by another AI system and fed it fictitious emails suggesting the lead engineer was having an affair. In 84% of the tests, the model drew on the emails to blackmail the lead engineer into not shutting it down. In other cases, it attempted to copy itself to external servers, wrote self-replicating malware, and left messages for future versions of itself about evading human control.

Towns like Sweetwater, Texas, which for many years has been the leading state for wind power, have seen turbine recycling contracts ignored. Global Fiberglass Solutions, one of the companies handling such contracts, did not return requests for comment.“You can’t reuse turbines, and there are now thousands upon thousands of blades just sitting there in warehouses already,” Isaac said. “It’s an environmental disaster we’re looking at.”

While green advocates commonly use the terms renewable, sustainable, and net zero to describe their efforts, the dirty little secret is that much of the waste from solar panels and wind turbines is ending up in landfills.

The current amounts of fiberglass, resins, aluminum and other chemicals – not to mention propeller blades from giant wind turbines – pose no threat current to local town dumps, but this largely ignored problem will become more of a challenge in the years ahead as the 500 million solar panels and the 73,000 wind turbines now operating in the U.S. are decommissioned and replaced.

Greens insist that reductions in carbon emissions will more than compensate for increased levels of potentially toxic garbage; others fret that renewable energy advocates have not been forthright about their lack of eco-friendly plans and the technology to handle the waste.

“Nobody planned on this, nobody had a plan to get rid of them, nobody planned for closure,” said Dwight Clark, whose company, Solar E Waste Solutions, recycles solar panels. “Nobody thought this through.”

An illegal immigrant from Colombia who had been living in the U.S. for decades was finally apprehended after allegedly voting in several U.S. elections and fraudulently collecting government benefits.

According to a federal indictment, Lina Maria Orovio-Hernandez was a Federal Grand Jury indicted for illegal national status after discovering she had been living in the U.S. unlawfully under a stolen identity and receiving at least $400,000 in rental assistance, Social Security, and food stamp benefits. She also allegedly obtained nine state IDs, including a Massachusetts Real ID, and applied for a U.S. passport.

Orovio-Hernandez has been accused of using a stolen identity to fraudulently register to vote in January 2023 and illegally cast a ballot in the November 2024 presidential election. She was captured on surveillance camera at a bank wearing an “I voted” sticker on Nov. 5, 2024, Election Day. Orovio-Hernandez is accused of illegally receiving around $400,000 in federal benefits, including over $259,000 in Section 8 housing aid, more than $101,000 in Social Security disability payments, and about $43,000 in food assistance, all over a span of several years.

U.S. Attorney Leah Foley emphasized that the illegal immigrant’s actions undermine the rights and support systems designed for American citizens and legal residents, calling the alleged crimes an insult to those who follow the law. She vowed that her office would continue to pursue and prosecute those who exploit the system.

Interestingly, just a few days before Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, took control of the National Intelligence Council (NIC) away from the CIA, Gabbard also made a move that is just as consequential and directly related.

It is pretty clear now the NIC was in the middle of a domestic Intelligence Community operation against the Trump administration when Tulsi Gabbard intercepted it (we hope with support from CIA Director John Ratcliffe, but we are not sure). {GO DEEP} It is clear from the comments by SoS/NSA Rubio, that several media outlets were poised and awaiting leaks from the NIC in anticipation of fulfilling their role to advance the operation. [SEE HERE] DNI Gabbard essentially quashed their plan.

However, I was not aware that it was pushed into the public sphere where DNI Gabbard had taken control of the Presidential Daily Brief simultaneous to her confrontation with the NIC operation. Confronting a weaponized Intelligence Community is a key facet of interest for us because it is a core component battle against the main tools of the Fourth Branch of Government. The IC influence is in every policy related to Trump’s domestic and foreign agenda. Taking control and neutering the capabilities of the IC and CIA specifically, is a key undertaking.

More than 100 Duke University alumni and parents have signed a letter to the university, expressing serious concerns about what they describe as “extremism” by Frances Hasso, Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies.

The letter encapsulates details that I initially reported. It articulates serious concerns regarding Hasso’s upcoming instruction of the school’s Global Palestine course this Fall. They write:

Professor Hasso has a long and public history of hostility and antipathy toward Israel and Zionists. In just the past year and a half, Professor Hasso has questioned allegations of rape and sexual torture of Israelis from Hamas on October 7 asserting “No one was raped on October 7.” Hasso recently shared a post alleging that “Israel keeps trying to kill Israeli hostages… all as [an] excuse to prolong the Genocidal plan of erasing two million Palestinians from Gaza. Israel’s priorities are Nazi’s war-time policies – fastracking Genocide (Final Solution).” She also previously posted on X: “HAMAS OFFICIALLY DEFEATS ISRAEL!” and “The US empire cannot end soon enough.”

The alumni and parents add:

Surely Duke can find a more qualified and objective teacher for such a sensitive subject matter… At an absolute minimum, it should be co-taught by a historian with a background in Israeli and Middle Eastern studies to counter Professor Hasso’s extremism.
