Since 2016, George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF), now run with his son Alexander, has poured over $80 million into groups tied to terrorism or extremist violence. The evidence is stark: Open Society has sent millions of dollars into U.S.-based organizations that engage in “direct actions” that the FBI defines as domestic terrorism. These groups include the Center for Third World Organizing and its militant partner Ruckus Society, which trained activists in property destruction and sabotage during the 2020 riots, and the Sunrise Movement, which endorsed the Antifa-linked Stop Cop City campaign, in which activists currently face over 40 domestic terrorism charges and 60 racketeering indictments. Amid the snow-capped mountains and Mormon churches of Utah, not far from where FBI agents continue to scour for more evidence in Charlie Kirk’s assassination, a self-described armed revolutionary group openly aligned with Cuba has risen up on the streets of one of America’s most conservative states.

Armed Queers SLC says its mission is to train gay, queer and transgender people to arm themselves and to fight against capitalism. Although their purported Facebook page does not directly appear to encourage the use of firearms in their claimed mission, many of the images used depict firearms. As recently as this spring, its members traveled to Cuba for a meeting to celebrate the May Day holiday and participate in a march and events alongside revolutionaries from around the world.

The group posted photos on its public Instagram account—which was deleted on Friday—of its young students attending, and its leaders openly discussed how the communist regime agenda and this American group’s agenda were aligned in a YouTube video after the visit to Havana. The video has been scrubbed and is not available in any web archive, but Just the News took a careful transcription of the discussion prior to its deletion.

MIGRANT CRIME AND THE DALLAS BEHEADING. Add this to the list of terrible crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the United States: In a Dallas hotel last week, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, a Cuban in the U.S. illegally, was cleaning a room when he got into an argument with the hotel manager, Chandra Nagamallaiah. Cobos-Martinez was apparently angry that Nagamallaiah “didn’t speak to him directly and instead relied on [a female co-worker] for translation,” according to a police affidavit.

Cobos-Martinez left for a moment and came back with a machete. He allegedly began hacking at Nagamallaiah, who tried unsuccessfully to fend him off. Nagamallaiah’s wife and son were there and also tried unsuccessfully to stop Cobos-Martinez.

Like every other horrible act in America today, the whole thing was captured on surveillance video. Cobos-Martinez kept swinging the machete, and Nagamallaiah ended up in a defensive crouch. It went on and on and on. Finally, Cobos-Martinez reportedly chopped off Nagamallaiah’s head. “The suspect then kicked the head twice into the parking lot,” the affidavit said. The video shows Nagamallaiah’s head bouncing along the pavement “like a soccer ball,” spewing blood until it rolled to a stop. Finally, Cobos-Martinez picked up the head and threw it in a dumpster.

People nearby called 911. According to one news account, “Cobos-Martinez was found by authorities covered in his manager’s blood and still holding the machete just a few blocks away from the scene.” He was arrested and charged with capital murder.

Authorities quickly discovered Cobos-Martinez was in the U.S. illegally. Then they learned his criminal history. Cobos-Martinez appears to have been in the country for several years. This is his record, according to an account by Dallas television station NBCDFW:

In February 2017, Cobos-Martinez stole a Mercedes in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The car broke down along I-95, where he was arrested and charged with felony grand theft motor vehicle. Four months later, in June 2017, in South Lake Tahoe, California, a police report details a carjacking in which Cobos-Martinez, while naked, tried to force himself into a woman’s car while pulling her hair and clothes and sitting on her lap. Cobos-Martinez told police he had about 20 beers and smoked a joint of marijuana before the carjacking. His criminal activity then continued to Texas, where in 2018, he was arrested on an indecency with a child through sexual contact charge in Harris County after allegedly grabbing a 14-year-old girl, bringing her behind bushes and assaulting her. The charge was later dismissed for insufficient evidence. He spent one year behind bars for an assault charge related to the case.

White House vows government will crush left-wing ‘terrorist’ networks after Kirk slaying

White House senior adviser Stephen Miller vowed Monday that the Trump administration will do everything in its power to root out the left-wing organizations that have fomented political violence, following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

During an appearance on a special tribute episode of “The Charlie Kick Show” hosted by Vice President J.D. Vance, Mr. Miller said the final text he received from Mr. Kirk was focused on coming up with an organized strategy “to go after the left-wing organizations that are promoting violence in this country.”

“We are going to channel all of the anger that we have over the organized campaign that led to this assassination, to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks,” Mr. Miller said, citing the doxing of public officials and organized street violence. “It is a vast domestic terror movement.”

“With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks and make America safe against the American people,” he said. “It will happen, and we will do it in Charlie’s name.”

An evangelical Christian and co-founder of the youth organizing group Turning Point USA, Mr. Kirk was shot and killed last week during an appearance at Utah Valley University.

The 31-year-old has been credited with reshaping the conservative movement by attracting more young people to the cause and emphasizing the importance of debate. Police have charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of Utah with the murder.

The day after the assassination of Christian youth leader Charlie Kirk, I made the case that it was necessary to wait for confirmation and additional information concerning the shooter and his motives. The recovered rifle and inscribed bullet casings seemed all too convenient, seemingly directing anger and blame towards certain left-wing subcultures. The needed information and confirmation are now available. This was not a lone wolf, this was a representative of a violent left wing subculture, a branch of the Antifa movement known as Trantifa or Transtifa. If the Turning Point USA organization represents youth reaching for the light and a healthy, positive future, Trantifa is its dark counterpoint. Both compete and are engaged in recruiting and influencing the belief structures of American youth. Corporate media and their leftist echo chamber are guilty of actively and repeatedly portraying Turning Point USA as “far right” and falsely linking this Christian organization to either Fascism or the Neo-Nazi movement. But this is psychological projection and a perversion of both truth and the historic record. Historically, Fascism has always come from the left.

I am confident that certain Democrat party Senators and their aides, as well as their left-leaning Corporate media allies, will be tempted to misconstrue my words. To be explicitly clear, I am now calling on the US Federal Government and its legal investigative, enforcement, and homeland security capabilities to respond in full force to a domestic terrorist threat. I am not calling for, and specifically condemn vigilante violence. This has to be done rigorously, methodically, properly, professionally, and legally.

Based on available information, it is reasonable to infer that a member of the violent leftist organization self-identifying as “Antifa” would consider the founding leader of Turning Point, Charlie Kirk, as a high-value target. Cutting-edge social media researchers and image data mining specialists are rapidly accumulating confirmatory data, but for those who can read the meaning, the inscribed bullet casings tell the story.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination has hit the staff of The Free Press hard. Some of us knew him personally, but even those of us who didn’t found ourselves deeply distressed when we first heard the news Wednesday afternoon.

We’re journalists, which means we are used to reporting on horrible events, including gun violence, assaults, and murders.

So why does this one feel different? Why is there sure to be a prolonged impact from this tragedy?

Kirk’s obituaries invariably described him as a conservative activist, a supporter of President Donald Trump, and a leader in bringing thousands of young people along with him. That’s true.

A while ago, probably in 2017, I appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox show to talk about God knows what. Afterwards a name I barely knew sent me a DM on twitter and told me I did a great job. It was Charlie Kirk, and that moment of kindness began a friendship that lasted until today.
Charlie was fascinated by ideas and always willing to learn and change his mind. Like me, he was skeptical of Donald Trump in 2016. Like me, he came to see President Trump as the only figure capable of moving American politics away from the globalism that had dominated for our entire lives. When others were right, he learned from them. When he was right–as he usually was–he was generous. With Charlie, the attitude was never, “I told you so.”  But: “welcome.”
Charlie was one of the first people I called when I thought about running for senate in early 2021. I was interested but skeptical there was a pathway.  We talked through everything, from the strategy to the fundraising to the grassroots of the movement he knew so well. He introduced me to some of the people who would run my campaign and also to Donald Trump Jr. “Like his dad, he’s misunderstood. He’s extremely smart, and very much on our wavelength.” Don  took a call from me because Charlie asked him too.
Long before I ever committed (even in my mind)  to running, Charlie had me speak to his donors at a TPUSA event. He walked me around the room and introduced me. He gave me honest feedback on my remarks. He had no reason to do this, no expectation that I’d go anywhere. I was polling, at that point, well below 5 percent. He did it because we were friends, and because he was a good man.
When I became the VP nominee–something Charlie advocated for both in public and private–Charlie was there for me. I was so glad to be part of the president’s team, but candidly surprised by the effect it had on our family. Our kids, especially our oldest, struggled with the attention and the constant presence of the protective detail. I felt this acute sense of guilt, that I had conscripted my kids into this life without getting their permission. And  Charlie was constantly calling and texting, checking on our family and offering guidance and prayers. Some of our most successful events were organized not by the campaign, but by TPUSA. He wasn’t just a thinker, he was a doer, turning big ideas into bigger events with thousands of activists. And after every event, he would give me a big hug, tell me he was praying for me, and ask me what he could do. “You focus on Wisconsin,” he’d tell me. “Arizona is in the bag.” And it was.
Charlie genuinely believed in and loved Jesus Christ. He had a profound faith. We used to argue about Catholicism and Protestantism and who was right about minor doctrinal questions. Because he loved God, he wanted to understand him.
Someone else pointed out that Charlie died doing what he loved: discussing ideas. He would go into these hostile crowds and answer their questions. If it was a friendly crowd, and a progressive asked a question to jeers from the audience,  he’d encourage his fans to calm down and let everyone speak.  He exemplified a foundational virtue of our Republic: the willingness to speak openly and debate ideas.
Charlie had an uncanny ability to know when to push the envelope and when to be more conventional. I’ve seen people attack him for years for being wrong on this or that issue publicly, never realizing that privately he was working to broaden the scope of acceptable debate.
He was a great family man. I was talking to President Trump in the Oval Office today, and he said, “I know he was a very good friend of yours.” I nodded silently, and President Trump observed that Charlie really loved his family.  The president was right. Charlie was so proud of Erika and the two kids. He was so happy to be a father. And he felt such gratitude for having found a woman of God with whom he could build a family.
Charlie Kirk was a true friend. The kind of guy you could say something to and know it would always stay with him. I am on more than a few group chats with Charlie and people he introduced me to over the years. We celebrate weddings and babies, bust each other’s chops, and mourn the loss of loved ones. We talk about politics and policy and sports and life. These group chats include people at the very highest level of our government. They trusted him, loved him, and knew he’d always have their backs. And because he was a true friend ,you could instinctively trust the people Charlie introduced you to. So much of the success we’ve had in this administration traces directly to Charlie’s ability to organize and convene. He didn’t just help us win in 2024, he helped us staff the entire government.
I was in a meeting in the West Wing when those group chats started lighting up with people telling Charlie they were praying for him.  And that’s how I learned the news that my friend had been shot. I prayed a lot over the next hour, as first good news and then bad trickled in.
God didn’t answer those prayers, and that’s OK. He had other plans. And now that Charlie is in heaven, I’ll ask him to talk to big man directly on behalf of his family, his friends, and the country he loved so dearly.

Trump-Style Populism Is Rising in Europe

In Britain, France, Italy, Germany and elsewhere, voters are rejecting the establishment’s nihilism.

Something is stirring in Europe. Its leaders continue to talk in private about Donald Trump with a mixture of contempt and fear while publicly feigning respect and deference. But the people they claim to lead are starting to sound more like the U.S. president. European elites have worked hard to stamp out any sparks across the Atlantic from the Trumpian fire. But in Europe now it feels like the underbrush is smoldering.

In the U.K., where the counterrevolution against globalism was launched with the Brexit vote in June 2016, the mood is sulfurous. Nigel Farage, Britain’s Donald Trump, who was in Washington last week getting flayed by Democrats on Capitol Hill and embraced by his friend in the White House, is now the ascendant figure in the nation’s politics. His Reform UK party, which didn’t exist a decade ago, leads the clueless governing Labour Party by around 10 points in opinion polls. This weekend they held their annual convention in Birmingham, the heart of Middle England. It had something of the look and feel of a concert by a Trump tribute band. “Make Britain Great Again” baseball hats—in understated British teal, not gaudy American crimson—flew off the shelves. Like MAGA gatherings, there was a fair helping of fruitcake: One doctor told delegates Covid vaccinations might have been a “significant factor” in the recent diagnoses of cancer among two members of the royal family.

But the faces and voices were authentic and powerful—and familiar to anyone who’s been to a Trump rally: regular citizens, tired of the arrogant uniparty in power the last decade, tired of being told what to think by the establishment about immigration, multiculturalism, transgenderism. Above all tired of losing their country, its traditions and values to those who despise them.

In France, yet another centrist government has fallen. Parliament ousted President Emmanuel Macron’s handpicked prime minister, François Bayrou, by a 364-194 vote Monday. His replacement will be France’s fourth prime minister in a year. The presidential election is still 18 months away, and God alone knows how many more governments there will be before then. But the chaos is only clearing the path for the party treated as pariahs by the media. Marine Le Pen, barred from office by a dubious prosecution last year reminiscent of some of the lawfare against Mr. Trump, may be forced out of the race. But the designated successor of her National Rally party, 29-year-old Jordan Bardella, is a fresh face who has worked with her to detoxify the brand, dispelling its old stench of antisemitism and Nazi-adjacent ideology.

Speaking of detoxifying brands, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni is about to mark her third anniversary as prime minister, a feat of FDR-like longevity in that country. Her Brothers of Italy party’s roots lie in Benito Mussolini’s fascist movement. But she has skilfully steered an unwieldy coalition towards stable populism, elevating traditional Christian values and pushing hard against uncontrolled immigration.

In Germany another uniparty coalition is striving to address rising popular anger. Chancellor Friedrich Merz has made some commendable steps, such as getting his compatriots to accept a greater share of the burden for their defense. But he is hamstrung by dependence on the Social Democrats, and grinding through the gears of Teutonic stasis, his government is losing ground to the Alternative for Germany, which the established parties have stigmatized.

What’s stirring in Europe is the same rejection of the establishment’s cultural nihilism that moved enough voters in America to make Mr. Trump president twice.

Immigration is out of control in the U.K.; three million arrivals in the past five years in a country of 66 million. The social consequences are startling: from hotels in leafy, peaceful English towns crammed full of refugees, to a London student body that is one-third Muslim. Similar challenges are overwhelming France, Germany and Italy. Their economies are crushed by the weight of fiscal incontinence and sky-high energy prices caused in part by delusional green extremism.

New documents show that President Biden was checked out of decisions on pardoning felons and commuting the sentences of death-row inmates while his aides worked to make him look involved on paper.

The National Archives and Records Administration handed over Biden administration memos detailing steps taken to create a record that would make Mr. Biden look like the decision-maker for the thousands of pardons signed by autopen during his final days in office.

“Internal emails reveal Biden didn’t review thousands of pardons granted in his final days and even his own White House lawyers were scrambling for proof he approved them,” House Oversight and Government Reform Committee aides posted on social media.

Other newly leaked documents show the National Archives searched its records on the administration’s commutation of nearly every federal death sentence but could “not find a version indicating President Biden’s approval.”

The records were leaked to several news outlets amid a Trump administration probe into Mr. Biden’s historically heavy use of the autopen.

Mike Howell, executive director of the watchdog group Oversight Project, has called on President Trump to take action to reverse some of the pardons and to block the release of felons who received reduced sentences thanks to clemency granted by the Biden autopen.

“We’ve been right all along and do not mind being proven right again.  Now is the time for actual accountability.  There are death-row inmates with bad commutations who need to be taken care of, in addition to all the other political cronies with legally void pardons,” Mr. Howell told The Washington Times.

The Washington Times reported last month that Mr. Biden’s Associate Deputy Attorney General Bradley Weinsheimer criticized “highly problematic” language used in a single warrant, signed by the autopen, that pardoned hundreds of criminals, including a man who killed a woman and her young child to block her from testifying against him in a drug case.

I am so f**kng sick of watching politicians on both sides of the aisle get rich while they’re in office. But when politicians rail against millionaires and billionaires while quietly joining their ranks, it’s even worse, because it’s hypocrisy dressed up as virtue.

Few examples are as glaring as Rep. Ilhan Omar’s latest financial disclosure.

Just months ago, Omar dismissed rumors about her personal wealth as “ridiculous” and “categorically false,” insisting she was just a working mom with student loan debt.

Now, according to filings reported by the New York Post and Washington Free Beacon, Omar and her husband, Tim Mynett, are sitting on a net worth of up to $30 million. That’s a 3,500% jump in a single year.

Either her financial situation changed at the speed of light, or her earlier denials weren’t worth much. And the hypocrisy runs even deeper when it comes to those who spend their careers railing against capitalism, wealth, and inequality. Which is to say nothing of Omar’s critiques of the U.S., calling it “one of the worst countries” in a recent interview.

Her net worth didn’t come from thriftiness on a congressional salary. It came from her husband’s businesses: a California winery and a Washington, D.C.–based venture capital firm, Rose Lake Capital.

The winery was valued at a measly $15,000 to $50,000 last year but is now worth up to $5 million. Normal.

Rose Lake Capital went from essentially worthless to being valued between $5 million and $25 million, while the company boasts of managing a staggering $60 billion in assets.

Not bad for a family that supposedly embodies the struggles of everyday Americans.

And lets just say Omar’s net worth surge was legitimate for a second. She married into wealth — or her husband is just a resounding success — that’s not what bothers me.

What bothers me the most is that Omar has built her career thundering against the wealthy and declaring capitalism a system rigged against the little guy. She lectures about inequality, demonizes people who accumulate fortunes, and paints millionaires as morally compromised. Yet here she is, supposedly reaping the rewards of venture capital and luxury wine—two industries not exactly known for their devotion to socialist ideals.

It’s not that Americans resent success. It’s that Omar’s success makes her rhetoric look like a cheap costume. Don’t preach about tearing down the capitalist system while sipping wine financed by it. Don’t rail against millionaires while marrying one.

The contradiction is laughable. Condemn the rich in speeches, then quietly become one of them. Call the American economic system exploitative, then ride it to a lifestyle most of your constituents will never experience.

As I suggested on X today, people who both hate our country and actively preach socialism and communism in politics should have their net worth capped at $999,000 so they don’t become “evil millionaires,” and they must cut checks for any overages to the IRS or Treasury to help “solve inequity.”

If Omar truly believes wealth is corrosive, exploitative, and immoral, then shouldn’t she model the lifestyle she prescribes for everyone else? At the very least, she owes voters an explanation for how a self-described working mom with student loan debt turned into one of the wealthiest members of Congress almost overnight.

Chinese spies pose strongest threats to university research

Counterintelligence agency urges greater effort to counter Chinese, other foreign agents

Chinese intelligence services are recruiting students, stealing American research and engaging in harassment of dissidents at U.S. universities, says a new report by the National Counterintelligence and Security Center.

Other foreign spies are targeting universities with similar operations, but the Chinese threat is the most significant, the center said in a 40-page report, “Safeguarding Academia: Protecting Fundamental Research, Intellectual Property, Critical Technologies and the U.S. Research Ecosystem.”

“No nation has targeted Western research, science and technology as aggressively as China,” the report said. “The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Chinese intelligence services represent the broadest, most active and persistent espionage threat to the U.S.”

Russia and other foreign adversaries are engaged in technology theft from American schools to advance their programs but do so less aggressively.

Chinese spies also pose the most significant threat to U.S. technology competitiveness by seeking “all manner of critical and enabling U.S. technologies,” the report said.

Specific sectors include electronics, software, communications equipment and other materials aimed at advancing Chinese economic and military goals.

The Chinese Ministry of State Security, the leading civilian intelligence agency, is working to recruit U.S. experts in critical and emerging technology areas, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum technologies, semiconductors, optics, hypersonics and energy systems.

China also is using its forays into academics to exploit research in genetics, medicine and AI to repress vulnerable populations and target specific people, the report said.

One example cited in the report was an unidentified professor at a U.S. university who shared genetic data with Chinese researchers. The Chinese Ministry of Public Security, the national political police agency, used the data to profile and surveil minority Uyghurs in western China.

The State Department has declared Chinese repression of the Uyghurs to be genocide.

“The data was used to build a comprehensive DNA database that enabled the CCP to identify and track Uighur dissidents, sparking widespread criticism from human rights groups,” the report said. “This case underscores the need for researchers, institutions and governments to work together to establish robust safeguards and due diligence practices to prevent the misuse of research and protect against foreign malign influence.”

The root of the threat does not emanate from the Chinese people or Chinese Americans, who are often victimized by China. The main problem is the Chinese government, the CCP and Chinese intelligence services, the report said.

Methods used to obtain U.S. research include foreign talent recruitment programs, state-sponsored espionage, coercion of information from students and faculty, and technical/cyber techniques.
